Call for projects from the Wavestone Foundation: Charitable organizations have until September 16, 2019 inclusive to submit their applications

The Wavestone Corporate Foundation is putting out a call for projects to select charitable initiatives in aid of disadvantaged children. Organizations in need of some help to develop their projects have until September 16 to submit their applications online.

Already more than 100 charitable projects in aid of disadvantaged children

Since 2009, the Wavestone Corporate Foundation has been supporting projects aimed at helping disadvantaged children, particularly those living in poverty or extreme deprivation, both in France and abroad. It finances the creation and development of programs to combat all forms of poverty, support the development of problem prevention initiatives, and participate in the design and development of education and healthcare programs.

During its 2018/19 campaign, the Foundation selected 18 new projects to provide funding for. The Foundation lends its support to 125 projects on 4 continents, in the fields of education, healthcare, and social protection.

This new call for projects will be open for submissions until September 16, 2019

Following the success of the 2018/19 campaign—during which more than 100 applications were submitted—the Foundation is launching a new call for projects for its 2019/20 campaign. Organizations that wish to propose a project to the Foundation have until midnight on September 16, 2019 to submit their application on the following web page (available in French and English), which is linked to the Foundation's website: https://projets.fondation-wavestone.com/en/

It is strongly recommended that the applicant organizations check the compatibility of their projects with the principles and activities of the Foundation, as described on its website.

The Foundation supports projects that are part of a long-term development approach. As such, it places particular importance on the sustainability of projects and the principle of helping the beneficiaries become self-reliant. However, each year the Foundation reserves a "Special" budget for three or four projects that require more regular funding. Those projects are selected on an ad hoc basis by the pre-selection committee.

The organizations must be based in France or any other country where Wavestone has an office: Belgium, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland, the UK, and the United States.

The applications will be studied by a pre-selection committee made up of Wavestone collaborators. The committee will meet between October 2019 and February 2020. The list of applications selected by the Board of Directors will be announced in March 2020.
