Background
This major bank has a presence in over 40 countries worldwide, and wished to assess its global security level, in order to define the associated masterplan for the years to come. Our cybersecurity consulting team was selected to roll-out a unique methodology.
Challenges
Wavestone helped our client to overcome the challenge of managing a large number of entities with different maturity levels with these 2 methodologies:
- Sample-based approach: with more than 40 countries, it was impossible to visit each site. A sample-based approach was adopted with an in-depth analysis of 5 most relevant subsidiaries over different continents alongside with a questionnaire sent to remaining locations.
- Security Toolkit definition: for each of the main business activities, a security toolkit was defined with different deployment steps. The subsidiaries, following their activities, could then easily deploy security measures and processes already pre-packaged.
