The Wavestone Foundation is relaunching its call for projects to help disadvantaged children. Associations in need of a helping hand to develop their projects can now submit their applications on the Foundation's website (see here).
More than 200 projects for disadvantaged children supported since 2010
The Wavestone Corporate Foundation supports projects designed to help disadvantaged children, particularly those living in extreme poverty or destitution, in France and abroad. It finances the creation and development of programs designed to combat all forms of poverty, and supports the development of actions in the fields of prevention, education and health.
Each year, it also selects a small number of associations to support the running of some of their programs for disadvantaged children.
The Foundation may also be called upon to finance emergency missions, as it did recently in connection with the conflict in Ukraine and the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
A new call for projects launched until September 15, 2023
The Foundation is launching a new call for development projects for its 2023/2024 campaign. Associations wishing to propose a project to the Foundation have until midnight on September 15, 2023 to submit their application on the application platform (in French or English) linked to the Foundation's website.
Associations are strongly advised to check the compatibility of their projects with the Foundation's principles and activities, as set out on its website.
Associations can submit projects in 2 following categories.
Please note that the emergency projects are not part of this call for projects.
Classic project: setting up development or support initiatives
Projects designed to initiate or implement development or support initiatives for disadvantaged children. In this case, the Foundation pays particular attention to the long-term impact of the proposed projects (sustainability) and to the principle of empowerment of the beneficiaries.
Special projects: support for potentially multi-year action programs
A special budget is set aside each year for a limited number of associations requiring funding for more recurrent actions (e.g., regular childcare and follow-up) and the associated running costs. These projects are selected on an ad hoc basis by the pre-selection committee.
Applicants must be based in France or in a country where Wavestone has an office: Belgium, United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Luxembourg, Morocco, United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Applications will be analyzed by a pre-selection committee of Wavestone employees, which will meet between October 2023 and early 2024. The list of applications selected by the Board of Directors will be announced by March 2024 at the latest.
