The theme of the 2023 data leadership survey is “Delivering Business Value from Data and Analytics Investments.”

116 Fortune 1000 Firms Participated

Participants in the 2023 Data and Analytics Leadership survey comprised data executives who served in CDO, CDAO, and other executive data leadership positions at 116 Fortune 1000 companies or organizations in 2022.

The 22% rise over last year’s survey marks the highest level of participation since its inception in 2012. Of this year’s participants, 84.6% held the role of Chief Data Officer, Chief Data & Analytics Officer, or the most senior data leadership title within their organization – up 10% from last year.
